This is what giving back actually feels like.
An invitation to volunteer in Costa Rica and give back to the land.
What if service meant freedom?
More than ever before, the world seems to be shifting into a pattern where direct interaction with others and our natural environment is diminishing.
Even with all the distractions and noise, there is a quiet calling, an undercurrent of a longing to live in community and deeper connection with oneself, others, and the Earth… to return to a more natural state of existence. This desire reflects a deeper truth that we are social inter-beings, meant to live in interconnected communities of humans and nature.

“As we are in Service to the entire system, our own health and wellbeing rise, and all life of the community can thrive.”

Fertile soil for growth and transformation.
If you are feeling the calling for a reconnection to yourself, others, and the Earth, Holos can provide fertile soil for your personal growth and transformation. Tucked within 205 acres of lush jungle in the Diamante Valley, Costa Rica, the Holos Service Program offers opportunities for learning, expansion, and re-connection.
The land naturally invites you to detach from the electronic and materialistic world, through a complete immersion into nature and Service. As one truly sinks into the act of Service without attachment to reward or outcome, an opening for new experiences of receiving is created. The Service Program is about connecting with the rhythm of reciprocity — the experience of receiving through giving.

The San Salvador school partnership.
Holos Global is honored to support a heartfelt initiative just steps from our retreat center — partnering with the local school in San Salvador, Costa Rica, where 58 bright and resilient children learn each day with limited resources. With only three full-time teachers and a government budget of just $2,000 USD, the school continues to operate on dedication alone. Thanks to our community and Service Guests, we've completed restoration of the school's floors, roof, and exterior painting.

Apply now“My month of volunteering at Holos, Costa Rica, was a transformative experience. The location is incredible, offering many activities such as yoga, meditation, and cacao or temazcal ceremonies. The month flew by, fostering a deep connection with nature and the local culture. I hope to return and continue collaborating with this project.”
“We got to work with the chickens. We got to work with the greenhouse. We got to learn about the Baruca tribe. It was such a beautiful time. It's not only being here, it's taking something with us that we can also give to others and teach others.”
“Absolutely magical and life changing. It's given me a lot of freedom to explore what I can give. One of the wonders of community is that we get to bring in our own light and have it grow even more as we join hands together and create something so much bigger than ourselves.”
