  • Amazing sunrises to start with a yoga session, followed by incredibly nourishing and locally harvested fruits, then followed by a journey to the waterfalls and an integration circle; in preparation for the ceremony; a fire ceremony or a journey to the lower shala for a sound bath after dinner; free movement to rest.

    • Yes, We are open all year round. During private retreats we are closed to the public.

LOCATION + DIRECTIONS

  • Dominical is only 30 minutes from the basecamp, there is also a backroad to Uvita (4x4 recommended) that takes 45 minutes.

  • The closest grocery store to us is 5min away called Mini Super Abues.

  • Altitude at the ridge is 1200 ft above sea level.

  • Between December to April the weather is at its driest and sunniest.  Many people also enjoy the green season from May to November when there is more rain and the landscaping is lush.

  • By Helicopter, Plane, Car or Shuttle.

  • We are a 3.5 hour drive from San Jose.

  • Holos Basecamp is located about 200 km southwest of San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) is located within San Jose and the closest international airport to Holos.

    OPTIONS BY FLIGHT:
    Domestic Flight: SJO to Quepos: A 25 minute flight to Quepos/Manuel Antonio (XQP) where a shuttle will be waiting to bring you to the property, about a 1.25 hour drive. 

    Please note this requires booking an additional flight from San Jose to Quepos using one of the domestic airlines, Sansa or Green Airways.

    CHARTER FLIGHT:
    SJO to San Isidro: A privately chartered plane to San Isidro and then a 45 minute shuttle to the property. Planes seat between 8-12 people.

    Helicopter:
    SJO to Basecamp: A privately chartered helicopter to land directly on at Basecamp. Helicopters seat between 5-7 people.

    OPTION BY CAR

    From San Isidro to HOLOS:

    • Drive toward Dominical, turn left into the Diamante Valley before the church in Tinamaste.

    • There are signs for a trapeze school at the Highway.  Drive 7.1 miles, past a large sign Nauyaca Waterfall tour, take the second right after the school when you are at the middle of the soccer field. 

    • After 300 meters take a right into Holos with the wooden gate.

      From Dominical to HOLOS:

    • Drive the highway towards San Isidro, and turn right into the Diamante Valley after the church in Tinamaste. 

    • There are signs for a trapeze school at the Highway. 

    • Drive 7.1 miles, past a large sign Nauyaca Waterfall tour, take the second right after the school when you are at the middle of the soccer field. 

    • After 300 meters take a right into Holos with the wooden gate.

    Google Maps/Waze:
    "HOLOS BASECAMP" and "Holos Retreat Center" are both searchable within Google Maps or Waze so these can also be resources for navigating to the property. Be sure the directions take you through Tinamaste.

  • If you want a tour of our land please contact us first at info@holos.global before coming. We can accommodate you if we do not have a private retreat.

Stays + Facility + Events

  • Yes we have wifi.

  • We have the following features: AC; Free Wifi; Housekeeping; Shared Washrooms; Weekly yoga and nourishing meals.

  • Yes, all of our rooms have air conditioning.

    • We have one section with a toilet and a separate private big shower.

    • In the other area, we have 2 private toilets and 3 private showers in the same building/area.

    • There are also 2 toilets by the kitchen and dining hall area.

  • The retreat facilities entail a tented base camp configured by 15 tents where 8 of them have 2 queen size beds, 4 of them have 1 king size bed and 3 are flex tents with twin or queen size beds.
